Streamlining Carded Play Compliance
A Smart Collaboration with Circle
- 21.5” touch panel
- multiple input reader
- wireless transfer
- Card Printer
As part of regulatory changes under the Casino Control Act, The Star Entertainment Group sought a seamless, compliant and efficient way to implement carded play across its properties. To support this initiative, NEO partnered with Circle to deliver a self-service kiosk solution designed to enhance the customer journey, streamline identity verification and improve overall player experience
Together, we’ve helped deploy kiosks across three of The Star’s venues, giving guests a fast and frictionless way to sign up, verify their ID and begin carded gameplay – often in under five minutes.
This solution empowers The Star to meet compliance obligations while creating a smart, intuitive experience that elevates both customer service and operational efficiency.
Each NEO-built kiosk includes:
- Instant card printing (including reprints)
- Integrated ID scanning (licence and passport)
- Cameras and alert lighting to support process compliance
- Touchscreen and QR scanning for simple navigation
- On-demand printing for sign-in slips and promotions
Importantly, this project demonstrates a core principle of our work: using technology to take over traditional, operator-led functions — tasks that were once managed manually — and transforming them into efficient, digital self-service experiences. By deploying intelligent kiosk systems, venues like The Star can free up their staff to focus on higher-value interactions, while customers benefit from faster, more seamless service.
It’s a consistent theme in everything we do at NEO, across wagering, gaming, retail, healthcare and public spaces — using automation to improve service, reduce cost and reallocate valuable human resources.
We’re proud to work alongside Circle and The Star on a solution that blends regulatory readiness with real-world usability.
